- Define real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) as amplification plus fluorescence detection during the cycles
- Explain cycle threshold (Ct) / quantification cycle (Cq) as assay-dependent values, not universal cutoffs
- State why control review remains required before interpreting real-time curves or Ct/Cq results
