Each objective describes a practical parasitology bench skill, specimen choice, microscopy, and interpretive reporting, not antiparasitic dosing or treatment selection.
- Identify common nematode eggs using size, shell, and internal morphology criteria on stool microscopy
- Recognize larval stages and special-specimen pathways (e.g., pinworm tape, Strongyloides cues) used in laboratory diagnosis
- Interpret nematode reports with artifact caution and hedge concentration menus and local reporting conventions
