Section: Learning Objectives
Each objective describes a practical parasitology bench skill, specimen choice, microscopy, and interpretive reporting, not antiparasitic dosing or treatment selection.
- Explain complementary roles of thick films (sensitivity) and thin films (morphologic speciation cues)
- Apply film quality, staining, and scanning standards before reporting malaria or other blood parasites
- Interpret film results with timing and method limits, hedging local stain menus and antigen/molecular adjuncts, without therapy language
